BNP Paribas wishes to present its procurement policy and to show how this fits with the strategy of the Group. The problems of sustainable development as well as business ethics have always been constant concerns of the BNP Paribas group. This new portal provides for information to and exchanges with the suppliers and the partners and translates BNP Paribas' aim for consistency and transparency.

BNP Paribas chose the publisher Ariba to cover the sourcing and contract scopes of its purchasing platform. Having been in place for one year, the Ariba e-sourcing solution is used for the management of RFPs (requests for proposals). Within this tool, the consulted suppliers are given an access code to respond on-line. With these new modules, BNP Paribas is able to widen the use of the platform for the management of supplier relations, including the creation of contracts. Soon access codes will be allocated to all BNP Paribas suppliers so that they can update all information concerning them.
