What is E-SOURCING ?

BNP Paribas gives to referenced suppliers a platform covering the scopes of Sourcing and Contracts. This platform, called E-SOURCING, aims at improving the relationships between BNP Paribas and referenced suppliers using collaborative efforts .

The suppliers registered by BNP Paribas have an access code in E-SOURCING. This code allows them, when the time comes, to respond to an RFP, to answer surveys, and very soon to participate in the creation of contracts. In addition, the supplier can update at any time the information which the Purchasing Function of BNP Paribas maintains on the supplier's Company.

What are the advantages for the Suppliers?

The Purchasing Field of the BNP Paribas Group is divided in the World into several hundred entities. One of the main particularities of being a large International group in the service sector is the significant number of its suppliers. The maintenance of the information relative to these suppliers is essential in the local application of contracts signed in Global.

The benefit for the suppliers of such a platform is the possibility of communicating at a single point the information which will be available for consultation by all the purchasing players of the BNP Paribas Group at the World level.

Answer an RFP

When a supplier is invited by BNP Paribas to respond to an RFP, the supplier receives an explanatory email containing :

•  An access code to the E-Sourcing platform
•  The Url address of the E-Sourcing platform
•  A user guide
•  An email address to contact in case of problem  

All the features available to the suppliers is detailed in the user guide. All the exchanges between BNP Paribas buyers and the Suppliers are created within the platform. The suppliers answer the questions directly in the interface, can attach documents and consult information put at their disposal. Messagings are possible and the answers of the buyers to all supplier questions benefit all the suppliers.  

Update the data relative to the company

The Supplier having an access code to the platform can go at any time to modify and to enrich the information which BNP Paribas obtains on him (name, address, phone, company information , group information).

This access allows every BNP Paribas employee in any entity or a territory to have updated information about the local supplier.

The participation of the suppliers in this mode of functioning is thus a differentiating criterion for the teams in charge of the business connections to BNP Paribas and prepares for the generalization of the e-commerce.

Collaborate in the negotiation and creation of contracts

The E-Sourcing platform also allows BNP Paribas to manage its (global) framework Contract, as well as certain local contracts. Certain suppliers can thus be invited to collaborate on this platform to come to amend, then to validate, the text of the contracts which will have been defined by both parties.
